ADOBE LIGHTROOM CC PERFORMANCE
The CPU is the most important part of Lightroom workstation. Adobe is working adding in better support for graphics cards, but as of right now, your CPU will make the biggest impact on performance. Lightroom performance will scale with CPU's with high core counts. Currently the best all-around CPU's for most Lightroom Classic are the AMD Ryzen 5000 series. These CPUs are significantly faster than Intel's offering at every price point. We chose the Ryzen 7 5800x due to it's incredible price to performance. With 8 Cores, 16 Threads, and the wide feature set of the X570 platform, this system is future proof!
Adobe has been increasing the support for GPU acceleration in Lightroom, but currently there are only a small amount of effects that can utilize the video card. Keeping this in mind, you only need an entry level video card to give you the extra performance boost you need. We chose to include an entry level video card in this system, however you can change this to any card you want by clicking customize and changing the GPU selection in the configurator.
Adobe recommends a minimum of 16GB of RAM for 500MB files, 32GB for 1GB files, and 64GB+ for larger documents.
